Update

We had an amazing first week. The students were wonderful! We did lots of team building and getting-to-know-you activities. Next week we will transition into more academic content.

Thank you to those of you who brought in supplies to donate to our classrooms or toppings for our ice cream social.

Please bring in an empty toilet paper roll (or two) on Tuesday.

We are collecting beginning of the year paperwork. Your child should have turned in...

  • Student Profile sheet (updated each school year)
  • A Nook library release (yellow paper)
  • Release for directory information
  • Electronics policy contract (signed by both student and parent/guardian)
    • These were all sent from the district in your summer mailing.
  • Odyssey Flynn Trip permission slip form plus $10

Project Supplies

Please bring in one or two empty toilet paper rolls (cardboard) for a team project, by Tuesday, September 3.

On Friday afternoon, we will have a team ice cream social. We will supply ice cream and whipped cream.  We will ask student volunteers to bring in toppings. We would also love a couple parent volunteers to help scoop.

Supplies

In all classes, the most important supply is a pencil. Students are expected to bring a pencil to each core class every day. Please plan accordingly. We recommend just bringing a few to school at a time so you will not run out throughout the school year. In addition, following are the recommended supplies for each core class.

Math
One 1-inch binder
Dividers for binder (optional)
Filler paper
Pencils

Science
One 1-inch binder
Dividers
Highlighters
Filler paper
Calculator (4 function / basic)
Pencils

Humanities
One single subject spiral notebook
One pocket folder
Pencils

There are some items that we will use occasionally. We would welcome these as donations to our classroom supplies. These include:

Tissues
Scotch tape
Lined filler paper
Markers
Colored pencils
Graph paper
Pencil top erasers
Pencils
